"This was a really fantastic class with a wonderful teacher who was full of energy. The class was exciting, challenging and an incredible workout too and I love that we did a different routine and style each week. I really hope this class runs again soon and would love to see all of the dance classes offered over the summer months as they were last year."

TEACHING

Dance is a great way of encouraging young people to keep fit in a fun atmosphere. Amy is a qualified dance teacher (FDI) working in schools and dance schools showing students how to warm-up and move safely. She demonstrates how to perform dance moves in many different styles, choreographing dance pieces and performances.

Dance is a good motivator, being part of a team encourages young people to become interactive and develops self-confidence. Many of Amy’s students have progressed after joining in her classes and have become inspired to go forward into Performing Arts as a career.

Amy says ‘ There is nothing more rewarding then teaching a group of children or adults knowing that they go away from a lesson feeling that they have accomplished something new, and have gained a bucketful of confidence’

choreography

Amy is an accomplished choreographer highly respected for her skills in dance direction. She has choreographed many dance pieces, creating show stopping performance in venues from the smallest of school halls to the London Palladium.

Amy says ‘I love it when dance pieces comes together, and you have worked hard on the dance numbers to ensure they stand out, and are original ideas. Choreographing is my favourite part of teaching, it allows me to use my imagination, and this then helps my students to bring out the ‘performance’ in them.’
