We understand that there may be a few questions that you would want answering before deciding to drop us enquiry to show your interest…
Why book a dance party?
Why not?! It’s a great way to get all of your hens together for some laughs and to have a good dance! You may have a hen that has a very active lifestyle and loves to keep fit, or she may love to go out and dance the night away! Booking a fun, and uplifting activity like this brings the whole group together, especially if there are some members of the group that don’t know each other – it helps to break the ice! Here at A.Y. Dance, you are in good hands. Our dance parties are suited to you, and we take the time to ensure that the class is organised down to every last detail. No stress, no fuss, just fun!
What styles/themes do you do?
Any! Absolutely anything you like. We cater for all styles and themes, as we know that you may have an idea already that may be a little ‘outside the box.’ We have had some great ones so far, these include; Nelly Furtado (this one was outside at a campsite!) Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Britney, Spice Girls, Hanson (remember the band with three lads in from the 90s!?) This is all to name a few! Some of my favourites have been; Line Dancing, Beyoncé (a group once dressed in ‘Where’s Wally’ costumes for this!) and The Charleston, which has definitely been one of the most popular ones. Or perhaps your hen has a favourite film that she loves the soundtrack to? This could be Dirty Dancing, Grease, or Pretty Women? Or a favourite era perhaps? 80s and 90s always go down a storm! So do not think any idea is ever too whacky, as we welcome this! We love to embrace different songs and make up fun choreography to teach and entertain your group!
Do you have to have your own location for the dance party?
No not at all. In all locations within the U.K we can provide a suitable dance space or studio if needed. This can be at the time you require for a 90 minute dance class. Once you have booked and your deposit is paid, leave the rest to us! Also don’t forget, we can deliver dance parties in many different parts of the U.K! Our A.Y. Dance instructors have taught dance parties in Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Cardiff, London, Bournemouth, Manchester, Liverpool and many more. If you have already booked a house or cottage that your group are staying in, we can come to you! Of course, this is if you have a suitable space to dance in. If not, a studio can be booked close to the location.
Do you provide costumes/accessories?
This all depends on your style or theme of the dance party. Here is a list of some accessories we can bring along if you require…
The Charleston – Headbands
80s – Headbands, Legwarmers, Wristbands
Grease – Pink Ladies Jackets.
Burlesque – Lace hand held fans.
Line Dancing – Cowboy Hats.
Thriller – Zombie accessories.
If you have any accessories in mind that we have not listed, let us know! Our dance parties are very bespoke, we like to build them around your ideas and what you think you or your hen would enjoy.
What about group sizes/ages?
We have a minimum of 10 people for hen party bookings. If you do have less than this, please do let us know and we will see what we can do. There is no maximum! We love a large a group, the more the merrier. We will find a suitable studio or dance space for the size of your group. Also, all ages are welcome! From 18-80 we will structure the dance class to suit all ages so that everyone can join in.
What happens during the 90 minutes?
A lot of dancing...With breaks of course. This is how our dance parties are usually structured;

Hen Party Games (to get the party going!)
Teaching of Routine
Performance (to film the experience!)
Cool-Down
Hand – out of party bags. (This includes an extra special gift that is personalised to the hen, all hens get one of these and they are great to keep!)
